Subject: City of Edwardsville - Well 14 & 15
Ms. Battas,
The City of Edwardsville respectfully requests suspension of the monthly monitoring for Well #14 and Well #15 until such time that the wells are connected to the Water Treatment Plant. The construction of the 8,900 feet of 20-inch diameter raw water transmission main that will connect the wells with the Edwardsville Water Treatment Plant is currently awaiting issuance of an Incidental Take Authorization (ITA) from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources pursuant to the Illinois Endangered Species Act. Once the City receive the requirements of the Incidental Take Authorization, the project will be advertised for bids with work to begin as soon as possible within the limits of the ITA.
